Notes:
Shane Stevens was a young writer whose first novel was published in 1966. This is a sci-fi drama and is unlike the crime novels that Stevens would become famous for. He was recognized by famous novelist Stephen King in a 1989 novel, bringing Stevens's work to the attention of a wider audience; he wrote two novels under the name JW Rider
